The Dive Bar is situated on the beach, where after a day of exploring many of Utila’s amazing dive sites, you can unwind with a cocktail and embrace the ocean breeze. Sit under the amazing hand made thatched roof at this indigenous stone bar and relax your afternoon away. A special h’ordourve menu is available for afternoon and late evening snacks including avocado wasabi salsa, Breadfruit French Fries and Roasted Pepper Shrimp Quesadillas.
The Library Lounge is an indoor haven to be enjoyed on hot lazy days when your body craves air-conditioning and relaxation. Lounge behind the grand floor to ceiling panoramic windows with stunning views of captivating blue ocean and exotic green jungle. Spend your afternoon reading one of the hundreds of books in the Utopia Library or watching a DVD movie on the flat screen television, complete with home theater sound system. Feel like playing games?...rummage through our selection choosing from chess, checkers, backgammon, cards, and a host of others or walk out under a large champa complete with pool table, wrap around bar and stools for viewing the scenery while playing billiards.
Dulce Vida’s menu is a design collaboration between former Austin restaurateur Debbie Mylius and Chef Mike Smith of Dallas, Texas. As owner and Executive Chef of the famed 2900 restaurant, Chef Mike has created an elegant fine dining experience winning many awards in the Dallas area. The James Beard Foundation invited him to attend and perform at their annual competition in 2005 and 2006. This achievement is one of the highest honors for chefs to obtain. As a consultant for creating the menu and training staff, Chef Mike’s collaboration with Debbie Mylius has produced world-class cuisine and service for Utopia’s Dulce Vida.
